Predicting the US Open Championship Weekend

As promised yesterday, our three contestants have made their predictions of participants in the upcoming US Open Championship Weekend along with their projected victors. Each contestant has very different expected outcomes, with the two upstarts ("Gary the Writer" and "Adidas the Cat") picking some big upsets.

If the matches unfold closer to conventional wisdom, "Jason the Pro" could win running away. If some underdogs break through, Jason could be running away for other reasons.

All three are picking Serena Williams to win the ladies championship, but take very different routes to get there. On the men's side, there is even greater disparity in predictions with each contestant seeing a different eventual champion. Adidas continued to pick with her heart favoring players who wear her namesake apparel.

We will check back in after the tournament with the final results. Who knows, with a few key upsets, we could see Adidas the Cat savoring the Tuna at the end?
